GDETO is responsible for handling economic and trade matters between HKSAR and the four provinces/region of Guangdong, Fujian, Guangxi and Hainan. The GDETO serves to promote Hong Kong's economic and trade interests and seeks to attract direct investments into Hong Kong. The Office performs the following functions -
With a view to strengthening and deepening the liaison and co-operation with Shenzhen, Fujian and Guangxi, the HKSAR Government subsequently set up the Shenzhen Liaison Unit, Fujian Liaison Unit and Guangxi Liaison Unit under the GDETO in Shenzhen, Fuzhou, and Nanning in December 2010, February 2012 and April 2017 respectively.
HKTDC is a statutory body established in 1966 to promote, assist and develop Hong Kong's trade. With 50 offices globally, including 13 in Mainland China, the HKTDC promotes Hong Kong as a two-way global investment and business hub. The HKTDC organises international exhibitions, conferences and business missions to create business opportunities for companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in the mainland and international markets. The HKTDC also provides up-to-date market insights and product information via research reports and digital news channels.
HKCCGD (formerly known as Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China-Guangdong (HKCCC-Guangdong)), was founded in 2000 in Guangzhou. With the support of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province and the approval of the Guangdong Provincial Government, HKCCGD was registered with the Guangdong Province Department of Civil Affairs in May 2021 under its new name. Rooted in Guangdong for many years, HKCCGD aims at promoting trade and economic exchange between Guangdong and Hong Kong. Through various activities, HKCCGD provides members with updates of policies and information and enhances communication with provincial and municipal governments. The HKCCGD is a platform for members to mingle, seek for co-operation opportunities, exchange ideas and develop businesses together. Members are mainly located in the nine municipalities in Guangdong Province of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.
HKCCFJ was formerly a liaison office of HKCCC in Fujian Province. Its service area was within Xiamen municipality, Fujian Province when it was established in July 2019. Fuzhou Liaison Office was officially opened in December 2020. With the support of Fujian Provincial Government and the approval of the Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People's Government of Fujian Province, HKCCFJ was officially registered with the Fujian Provincial Department of Civil Affairs in May 2021. Currently, the service scope of HKCCFJ covers the whole province of Fujian, expanding in-depth communications and cooperation between Hong Kong and Fujian. Members mainly include Hong Kong enterprises in the fields of finance and trade, business services, logistics, hotel & catering, real estate development, manufacturing, cultural and creative technology and education, etc.
Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Guangxi (HKCCGX) was established in July, 2019, and later officially registered in May 2021 with the support of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government; HKCCGX is formerly known as HKCCC-Guangxi. Taking Guangxi and Hong Kong as its “dual axis” and with a mission to consolidate the strength of both sides, HKCCGX offers all rounded services to Hong Kong enterprises in Guangxi and ASEAN. At the same time, it supports upgrading Hong Kong companies’ competitiveness by integrating Hong Kong’s century long marketisation and internationalisation with local Guangxi’s experience in the ASEAN countries. HKCCGX is committed to provide high-quality services to help existing and new members, to bridge up effective resources and to help them to win. HKCCGX successfully built the first "Hong Kong Youth (Mainland) Entrepreneurship Service Center" in Nanning, Guangxi in June, 2021. The Service Center aims to help Hong Kong young entrepreneurs having better ways, lower cost and shorter time to succeed.
